Sources said that the surgery began around 9 am and effectively finished at around 2.30 pm. 

Outside Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj's kidney transplant surgery has effectively finished at AIIMS on Saturday evening. Swaraj experienced a kidney transplant with the organ being gathered from a living random contributor. As indicated by AIIMS sources, the about five-hour-long surgery was led by a group of specialists including AIIMS Director M C Mishra, specialists V K Bansal, V Seenu and nephrologist Sandeep Mahajan. 

Sources said that the surgery began around 9 am and effectively finished at around 2.30 pm. The priest was moved to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in a similar building promptly after the operation. 

Swaraj, was admitted to AIIMS on November 7 and was experiencing dialysis thrice a week. The clergyman tweeted about her wellbeing on November 16 saying she was in AIIMS in view of kidney disappointment." 

"Swaraj,64, has been experiencing diabetes for a significant long time. After the kidney disappointment determination, she was put on support dialysis," said specialists. 

After Swaraj made open her wellbeing condition via web-based networking media, bolster had poured in for her with a few people offering their kidneys for transplant. Prior she was admitted to AIIMS in April for treatment of pneumonia and other medical problems. 

"I am in AIIMS due to kidney disappointment. Quickly, I am on dialysis. I am experiencing tests for a kidney transplant. Ruler Krishna will favor," Swaraj had tweeted.
