Actor Aamir Khan, weeks from discharging his new film Dangal, says he made the film to advance the moving story of the Phogat family, reports news organization PTI. Dangal is the striking genuine story of how wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat challenged patriarchal and sexual orientation based thoughts in his little Haryanvi town to prepare his girls Geeta and Babita in his game. Geeta and Babita Phogat, two of India's most praised brandishing legends, won the nation its first awards in female wrestling at the 2010 Commonwealth Games. "I thought about the Phogat family. I think the greatest way we could advance the Phogat sisters and Mahavir was by making a film on them. What's more, that is the thing that we have done," Aamir, 51, said in New Delhi on Thursday, reports PTI. Dangal stars Aamir Khan as Mahavir Phogat. Performers Fatima Sana Sheik and Sanya Malhotra play Geeta and Babita.

Dangal is 2016's second wrestling film after Salman Khan's Sultan which discharged in July. Aamir says it was one of the two movies of the year that he preferred.
