India beat Sri Lanka in final by 34 runs to clinch U19 Asia Cup title

India, coached by Rahul Dravid, proceeded with their strength in the Asia Cup as they secured the U-19 title by vanquishing Sri Lanka in the last at the R Premadasa stadium in Colombo on Friday. 

This was India's second win in the Asia Cup U-19 competition, having won the title in 2013/14 by crushing Pakistan by 40 runs and sharing the trophy in the principal release held in Malaysia in 2012/13. 

India, who had entered the last undefeated, won the hurl and batted and their top request made strong commitments. Prithvi Shaw (39) and Himanshu Rana shared a strong 67-run opening association. Rana, who had scored a fifty and a century in the alliance stages, proceeded with his awesome frame to indent up 71. He was given great support by Shubhman Gill, who crushed 70 and shared a 88-run remain for the second wicket.
