In 2015, there was a comparable assault in Jammu when the Assembly session was on. 

Twelve hours after three General Reserve Engineer Force (GREF) work force were killed close to the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu's Akhnoor area, the aggressors stayed slippery till Monday evening, fuelling theories of a cross-outskirt attack, harmonizing with the State Assembly progressing session. 

A senior police official said the assailants, whose numbers is not known, landed in Battal territory, which has both International Border (IB) and in addition LoC close by, and assaulted a GREF camp, slaughtering three representatives. 

The camp, lodging around dozen GREF workers, is around 2 km far from the LoC. 

"The zone was cordoned off quickly. The assailants are still on the run," said the police official. 

The GREF assembles and keeps up fringe streets in the nation. 

All schools in the range were shut. Police said no onlooker has approached with any tip-off on the assailants. 

In Assembly, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti denounced the assault. "Nobody feels great over the killings. Everybody feels terrible," she said.

Both officials of the National Conference and the Congress made a ruckus in the Assembly over the assault, looking for an administration reaction. 

"Three jawans were slaughtered and we don't recognize what happened. Where has the 56 inch trunk disappeared? Was it only an aggressor assault or a surgical strike by Pakistan?" asked NC MLA Devinder Singh Rana. 

A few BJP administrators raised trademarks against Pakistan.
